New from Dell is the SX2210T HD touch screen monitor. The SX2210T is one of the first monitors from Dell to take full advantage of Windows 7's built in touch screen technology . With a display size of 21.5 inches and a resolution of 1920 X 1080, the SX2210T is an ultra clear HD display that employs a full touch sensitive active touch matrix. The touch matrix works in tandem with Windows 7's functionality, allowing users to perform program and systems commands in ways never before possible, all via their fingertips. Mouse no longer required. The SX2210T also includes HDMI and DVI inputs, as well as a 2.0 Mega-pixel internal webcam and integrated microphone.

Even though touch screen technology been around for years, this is the first time that Microsoft has made it available to the masses on such a wide scale by bundling it, with the operating system itself. The possibilities associated with touch screens are endless and most likely they will have a profound effect on the way millions of people interactive with their computers on daily basis. Expect to see many more models enter the market place in the near future.

The SX2210T can be purchased from Dell's online store and retails for $469.
