In the market for an extremely capable amphibious vehicle with sports car like performance? Look no further...The Python produced by Watercar based in Fountain Valley CA, is said to be "one of the fastest amphibious vehicles in the world", on both land and on water.

Looking like a "morphed Dodge Durango on steroids", the Python features a state-of-the-art water tight hull design that sits atop a light weight 304 stainless steel structural frame. The hull has specially designed doors that allows them to be opened when operating in the marine environment. Integrated into the hull, is a high performance dominator jet marine propulsion system coupled to a Mindiola gearbox that provide "gobs of thrust" when on the water.

All this wonderful technology is powered by a derivative of the LS Corvette powertrain producing more than enough power to propel the Python in excess of 60 mph on water and 125+ mph on land, with 0-60 times in the 4.5 second range. Either way, this is one fast vehicle.

When operating the Python on the water, the driver literally drives right in. Once off the terra-firma, the driver puts the 4-speed transmission in neutral, engages the James Bond jet drive and heads off into the sunset, It's really is that simple.

When ordering a Python, the lucky purchaser can choose from over 60,000 exterior colors and 4,000 interior colors. However, the Python doesn't come cheap, starting at over $200,000 for the base model. But then again, If you're in the market for an amphibious vehicle, the cost most likely won't be any sort of hindrance.
