New from Ultra Motor is the A2B electric bike. Reminiscent of the 'Mopeds' from days of yore, the A2B is the modern equivalent;
a half electric, half bicycle machine. Handsomely crafted and incorporating the latest modern amenities, the A2B provides a smooth, quiet
and emissions free form of transportation, that is great for those urban jaunts when taking the car is just too cumbersome.
Weighing in at 72 lbs including the battery, the A2B is packed with a powerful 500W motor partnered with a 7-Speed Shimano
Alivio twist shift, that provides exceptional hill-climbing torque (even for San Francisco hills) and 20 MPH speeds
for those urban canyons.
Powered by a lithium ion batter pack, the A2B has a range of up to 20 miles when equipped with one battery pack,
and up to 40 miles when equipped with the available secondary pack. A state of the art indicator keeps the user abreast of
remaining power levels. The battery pack is charged via a standard 110 volt outlet and takes roughly 3-4 hours to
completely charge. The lithium battery is located inside of the frame tubing and is completely hidden away from view.
Operating the A2B is amazingly simple, just enter and turn the key to activate the system and go. The same key switch
can alternate your power source when the optional second battery is in place.
The smooth, safe, economical and efficient ride of the A2B makes for a great personal transportation alternative, and for many
people, it just may supplant their car. The A2B is currently on sale and retails for $2,700.
