Yunnec International introduces the E430, the world's first commercially
produced 'Electric Aircraft'. The E430 is twin seat, single engine LSA class aircraft
that ushers in the beginning of a major shift in world of general aviation. Powered by a 40Kw electric motor,
producing an estimated 54 hp, E430 can fly up to 2.5 hrs, on one charge from its powerful Lithium Polymer
batteries.
In conforming to the LSA guidelines as mandated by the FAA, the E430 will have a maximum
speed in level flight of 138 mph and take off weight of less than 1,320 lbs. The E430 will also have a
maximum stall speed of 51 mph, fixed landing gear and a non-turbine engine. The E430 also has
a very forgiving 25:1 glide ratio.
The benefits of an electric aircraft like the E430 are numerous; it's amazing simple simple to fly, ultra quiet and
vibration free. The E430 like all eventual electric aircraft, features a very low operating cost of $2.50/Hr and an ultra high reliability factor by
having only 2 moving parts. Moreover, there is no fuel, oil, emissions or residue to spoil the environment.
As battery technology continues to evolve at its current torrid pace, plan on seeing many more
electric aircraft in the near future. The benefits are just to overwhelming to ignore any longer.
