New from Nikon is the revolutionary 12.1 Megapixel COOLPIX S1000pj digital camera. The S1000pj is the world's first camera to feature a miniature built in projector that allows you to view photos anytime anywhere. The projector is able to beam the photos onto a surface up to 6ft 6in away in VGA (640X480) resolution, for up to 1 hour (what a fantastic idea). This should conjure images of R2D2 projecting Princess Lea’s message to Luke Skywalker in first, I mean fourth Star Wars. All we need now is the 3D holographic image projection add-on accessory kit? (oh sorry, that’s not yet been developed – I bet soon though).

The S1000pj also features a 5x Wide-angle Zoom-NIKKOR Glass Lens for capturing expansive landscapes, 5 way VR Image stabilization, a bright 2.7-inch High Resolution LCD and a host of other features and functionality. It retails for $429.99 and should add a whole new dimension to digital photography.
