Nearly one year after the original Nike+ SportBand made its debut... here it is again. This time the much improved model comes in a variety of new two-tone color schemes, packs a better “easy to read” white background screen and is water resistant. Lastly and most importantly, the SportBand has all the usual fanfare of Nike+ features needed to work with the popular family of iPod products (nano, touch and iPhone).
The Nike+ is a must for runners, walkers and all people on the “fitness” go. This device is a footpod that you insert into your specially designed Nike shoe. It sends data wirelessly to your iPod enabled device or to the Nike+ SportBand that you wear on your wrist. Similar to other wireless devices, your data is stored locally during the physical activity, and then uploaded to the Nike website when you sync the iPod or SportBand device. The merging of the Nike Running website, together with the Nike+ website allows for such enhanced features as social networking and goal oriented challenges.. helping runners become better runners, for example.
If you’d rather not purchase Nike running shoes specially designed for the new footpod, that’s ok too. You can purchase or make an attachment for the outside of the shoe for your footpod.
At just $59, it seems the most amazing part is the price.

Technology is an amazing thing. It sounds like these Nike products are doing everything but actually working out for you. Very cool.
This is a very cool product.
