Honda Motor Co., LTD announced plans to begin sales in Japan of the CR-Z
sport hybrid model (photo) and the Fit hybrid, starting in late 2010. Both models will
be added to the existing Civic Hybrid and Insight line, bringing Honda's total
hybrid lineup to four models. The two sporty two seat Cr-Z concept first debuted at the Tokyo Auto show back in 2007.
In addition, Honda also announced that it is currently developing
a new hybrid system intended for mid to large size vehicles. Both models should make there
way to the United States at some point, no word on pricing or availability as of yet.
