Providing a much needed glimmer of hope for General Motors , its Chevrolet division just rolled out the 1.5 millionth Corvette in white with a red interior exactly the same color combination as the first Corvette ever produced, way back in 1953.

Built proudly at its Bowling Green Kentucky factory, the 1.5 millionth Corvette rolled off the line on May 28, but wasn’t announced officially until Monday. The Corvette continues to be shining star for General Motors and the true American sports car. Over the years the Corvette has evolved into a much more capable and sophisticated vehicle. In terms of performance and price point; there's no there other car on the market that can come close.

We are huge fans of the Corvette here at Gizmotrix and we hope that GM is able to continue forward with the next generation C7 once it emerges from bankruptcy.
