Dell recently unveiled the new Latitude 2100 Netbook designed specifically for students K-8 or executives
on the go looking for a small compact secondary laptop. The new Latitude 2100 is a lightweight and easy to
use Netbook featuring a ruggedized casing for protection and a keyboard with antimicrobial protection for
when the students are blowing their noses all over the classroom. In addition, the Latitude 2100 features
an optional carrying handle and personalization with custom inserts, integrated WiFi and Gigabit Ethernet
for enhanced connectivity, an optional touchscreen and webcam for collaboration, as well as optional solid
state drives enhanced durability.
The 2100 weighs in at a minute 2.9 lbs and is available with either Windows Vista Home Basic SP1 or Ubuntu Linux
version 8.10 or you can downgrade to XP home SP3, if you so choose. With its lightweight robust design and
superior functionality, it’s sure to be a winner. The basic 2100 retails for $369.99 with Linux and
$399.99 – $419.99 with Windows.
